Application Priority

Overview

Advanced Stream Detect™ looks at all of the network traffic coming into the PC and can tell what applications are requesting data from the Internet. Each Application is given its own “channel” on the PC and prioritized accordingly:

  • Latency-sensitive applications, such as online games and Skype, are given the highest priority.
  • Applications that require more bandwidth while still being latency-sensitive, such as streaming video and audio, are prioritized next.
  • File downloads are prioritized lowest, not to slow them down, but to keep your important, latency-sensitive applications running smoothly.
