Sanctum Wants Your $3.75, Makes Compelling Offer With New 4 Player Co-Op and 75% Discount

The Steam summer camp sale has been chugging along for a little while now, but it seems like one of the games that have gone up today as a daily deal at 75% off received a very compelling patch. Sanctum, the Tower Defense / FPS hybrid, now supports 4 player co-op action, letting players battle off waves of enemies together, and with their defensive structures.

For the $3.75 price tag (and sub $10 4-pack), it might be a tempting offer for a small group of friends looking for a fun diversion in their gaming. Apparently, it really is quite a fun diversion at that, according to a review from the PC gaming blog Rock Paper Shotgun.

Tower Defense games are pretty popular on their own, and obviously so are FPSs. Still, genre blending doesn’t necessarily all work, but the reaction to Sanctum seems pretty positive. You can catch a trailer at the bottom of the post.

Today is pretty good over all for online gaming deals in general, with Counter-Strike: Source, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light (co-op being a selling point there too), Rift, and several other multiplayer titles. Anything you’re grabbing today?
