Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Information Ends Up on the Internet

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be hitting shelves on November 8th of this year, and while that is a fair way out yet, recent leaks to Kotaku have revealed quite a bit of information on the game, including information on setting, storyline, and multiplayer modes. Kotaku goes into some depth regarding these various tidbits of information, but here’s some of the rundown on what we can expect in the online sections of the game:

First of all, there will be twenty multiplayer maps featured in the game, ranging in setting from the Alps, to Brooklyn, to Mogadishu, to Paris, and more. That said, this may not be a final release number, and some may be cut before the final release, or there might even be more added.

Game modes were also among the information leaked. There are a number of mission-based and survival Spec Ops modes. Both of these should be pretty straight forward. Mission-based maps are similar to what we saw in Modern Warfare 2, and feature objectives that need to be completed. Survival mode on the other hand, is exactly that: surviving waves of increasingly difficult enemies.

You can get more information in the original article, including a full map list. We’re not going to touch on the singleplayer information too much, but you can also learn quite a bit about it in this article. That said, it is spoiler-filled, so you’ve been warned.
