Remember that crazy video CCP released stating that they would have two of their 3D Artists alternately beating each other up, and battling with only their wits? You know, partake in the grand sport of Chessboxing? Well, it turns out that, not only did the two actually go through with it, CCP also released the video to the public so we can all enjoy this particular event from this past Fanfest.
The video’s production is actually pretty good, and the announcers do a great job, too. Admittedly, chess is only so riveting to watch. However, the announcers – and the audience – keep the video entertaining, and the boxing sections get pretty intense, too. It might be a good half-hour long, but there’s plenty of excitement and laughs along the way. I’d recommend watching through at least the introductions, and then you can safely skip around after that, if you’re looking to save on some time. You can check the full video out here:
